Early menopause occurs when a woman stops menstruating prematurely. Women typically reach menopause after the age of 45. However, in rare cases, women might go through early menopause, in which case menstruation ceases after 40.
Early menopause can be a stressful and upsetting time; not only do young women have to cope with the normal, uncomfortable symptoms of menopause, but must also come to terms with losing their fertility earlier than they may have anticipated. These feelings, as well as symptoms such as vaginal dryness, loss of libido, and night sweats, can make maintaining intimate relationships difficult.
Dress Your Best
If you feel that your sexy self-esteem is flagging, dress your best for the evening. Dressing your best, whether that entails wearing your favorite cute jeans or a little black number, will give your waning self-confidence a little boost. Looking good will help you feel good, and enable you to embrace your body that much more, despite the early menopausal symptoms you might be battling.
Have a Romantic Evening in
Going through early menopause can be confusing when it comes to maintaining a sexual relationship with your partner. Menopause may involve losing your libido prematurely, and menopause symptoms may damage your mood. Having a romantic evening in with your partner might be a way to rekindle desire you used to have.
If you feel that early menopause is causing your libido to suffer, this does not mean that you have to lose intimacy with your partner. Don't forget the value of spending quality time with your partner, if you don't fancy candles and scented pillows, put some pajamas on and share a box of pizza.
Put Yourself First
Feeling sexy is all about maintaining your self esteem. Early menopause symptoms can deplete your sexual desire, and experiencing them can be damaging to your self confidence. To kick start your libido, it is important to first rebuild yourself esteem. Put yourself first: make sure you have time to yourself, treat yourself to something new, or spend the evening doing something that makes you happy. By putting yourself first, and giving yourself some time to focus on your self esteem, you will be able to combat the impact that early menopause has on your libido.
Going through menopause prematurely can put a dent in your sense of confidence and sexuality, but this dent does not have to be permanent, and it is important to overcome these feelings.
