Pruritus, more commonly known as itchy skin, is an uncomfortable sensation that makes you want to scratch. Itchy skin can be isolated in certain areas or affect the whole body. There are countless products on the market that claim to be the best treatment for dry and itchy skin, but many prefer to go with all natural creams and oils. Causes of Itchy Skin

Avocadoes have a creamy texture and are a rich source of essential fatty acids that are also beneficial for skin. Avocadoes provide natural moisture to skin and can be applied as a face mask or all over to be left on for 30 minutes for an extra moisture boost.
Peppermint provides a cooling sensation on the skin to soothe itching. You can buy peppermint oil at most herbal shops. Try adding the oil to a damp cloth and applying it to the affected area for relief.
Coconut oil is an excellent natural moisturizer that can be applied all over the body to nourish itchy dry skin. It is antimicrobial and antifungal, so it can also be used as shampoo or conditioner to clean and moisturize hair as well.
Oatmeal is soothing and moisturizing, and it can help relieve itch and nerve pain caused by cracked skin. You can add ground oatmeal to a warm bath for all-over skin treatment, or buy oatmeal infused soap for gentle cleansing.
